Journey Church operates under a servant-leadership model, best exemplified by Jesus himself. The overriding value is not exerting authority but modeling humility and servanthood. As the Bible outlines, a team of elders (wise and spiritually-grounded men) serve as the “shepherds” of the church family. Their role is to guard doctrine, handle thorny issues and to pray for and with people.
