For many people, as the kids are out of the house and you are not as engaged with work as you used to be, you have more time to enjoy being with others and trying new things. Some have even said they love the “second half” because they are just hitting their stride. Building on the growing boomer demographic, Journey is aggressively creating a ministry which engages the active senior adult, with a special focus on nurturing spiritual development in the context of expanding friendships.

Tuesday Morning Classic…a relaxed but enthusiastic time of praise and sharing. Associate Minister Fred Skinner and others lead a vibrant group in singing some of the favorite songs and hymns along with a time of Bible teaching and prayer. The age range for this weekly experience is wide open. Come on over and join in the fun at 11:00 and then plan to go out to eat with the group.

Sojourners…a growing group of senior ladies who enjoy eating, laughing, sharing life together and praying for each other. Their monthly gathering is supplemented by trips to interesting places near and far.

Pathfinders…a weekly Sunday morning group of men and women who study the Bible, talk about a variety of life issues and who care deeply for one another. There is room for you in this warm and welcoming class which meets in the Education Building at 9:30 every week.
