Journey Church is not a building.
The church is a group of imperfect people pursuing authentic relationships through study, serving others and doing life together.
There are many ways for you to get connected at Journey.
We gather for coffee on Sunday mornings between 9:00 and 9:30 and just enjoy a few minutes of catching up.
Journey Groups begin at 9:30. There are four group choices: one is focused on applying biblical teachings to growing spiritually. Another group is studying the book of James for 6 weeks. A third group looks at the roots of the Christian Church in America. And a fourth group focuses on teaching the Bible with an emphasis on meeting the needs of adults in their senior years.
* You don’t have to be a Bible scholar, or even own a Bible, to participate in any of these Sunday morning groups. They are all designed for open discussion and no one gets put on the spot to quote a verse.
Every other Sunday evening, Connect Groups meet. These are the main way to really get to know others in a relaxed setting. One Connect Group meets at the church building so childcare can be provided easily and safely.
Two other groups meet in homes. These groups run 90 minutes and have lots of time for food, some sharing about your week and a brief study of a topic relevant to everyday life. The groups are open and welcoming.
Other ways to connect:
Attend the P.L.A.N. sessions led by Pastor Dan and others. Typically lasting just four weeks, you will hear about the vision of Journey Church, beliefs, programs and get an overall understanding of the heart that this group of people has for North Fulton and the world. You will make some lasting friendships through the P.L.A.N. series and gain insight into whether this is the church that is a good fit for you.
Serving is always a terrific way to get to know others. There are lots of opportunities to help out and make a difference even if you are brand new. Just find a staff member and introduce yourself as someone willing to help out, and you will get put to work!
Come early and don’t rush out. People at Journey are known for their warmth and welcoming spirit, but it really helps if you come a few minutes early to Journey Group or Worship, and then hang out afterwards. Someone might even invite you to lunch! Make an effort to reach out and you will find others doing the same for you. We want you here. Help us get to know you.
